The app comes from Blackwater Outdoor Journeys, a family that films real canoe camping trips in the Okefenokee and on the blackwater rivers of South Georgia and North Florida. River notes and landings come from those trips and from our Paddler's Guides, state by state across the Southeast.

The app is free to try with no account. A free account saves your trips. Offline maps and the AI Coach are part of Premium.
Does it work for kayaks too?
Yes. Canoe and kayak trips plan the same way, and the app also plans hiking, camping and fishing trips.
Does it work with no cell signal?
GPS tracking works without signal, and an I'm Back Safe press with no signal is saved and sent when you have bars again. Saved offline maps open with no signal (Premium).
