New to Skool? Here's how to get around.

Our community runs on Skool. It looks busy at first — two minutes here and you'll never wonder where anything is.

Straight talk: the first time you land in a Skool community it can feel like a lot, and the notifications can get noisy until you set them. Here's the map, where the lessons actually live, and how to turn the noise down to just what matters.

The tabs, in plain English

Across the top of THE CAMPFIRE you'll see a handful of tabs. That's the whole thing — four spots to know:

Community

The main feed — this is THE CAMPFIRE itself. Post a question, share a win, swap stories. It's the first tab you land on.

Classroom  ←  the lessons

Every field guide and lesson lives here. This is the answer to "where's the actual training?" — it's the Classroom tab.

Calendar

The weekly call and any events. Add them to your calendar so you don't miss the live Q&A.

Members

Who's in the crew — where they're from and how active they are. Good for finding folks near you.

The one thing most people miss

The lessons are in the Classroom tab.

If you joined and only saw the feed, you haven't seen the training yet. Tap Classroom at the top — all 16 field guides and 160+ lessons are in there, organized course by course. Want a taste first? Read real lessons free right here, no signup.

Your first five minutes

  1. Say hey. Post a quick intro in the Community feed — where you're from and what you want to learn. That's how the crew knows you're here.
  2. Pick your trail. Hiker, Paddler, or Hunter — start with the guide that fits what you do most.
  3. Open the Classroom. Start the first lesson in your guide and work at your own pace. Ask questions in the feed as you go — someone's always around.

Quiet the notifications (so they help instead of annoy)

Out of the box Skool emails and pings you about a lot. You don't have to live with that — here's how to dial it to just the useful stuff. Takes about a minute.

On the web

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Open Settings, then the Notifications tab.
  3. Turn off the email types you don't want. The usual culprits:
    • Digest emails — summaries of popular posts. Fine to turn off.
    • Notification emails — summaries of your likes, comments, and mentions. Turn off if you'd rather just check in the app.
    • Event reminder emails — keep this on if you want the nudge before the weekly call.
  4. Leave Admin announcements on — that's how you'll catch the important stuff from us (it's rare, we don't spam).

On the phone app

Tap your profileSettingsNotifications to control push. A good setup: keep push or email, not both. Most folks keep app push on and email mostly off.

Still too noisy?

Skool notifies you when someone you follow posts. If your feed feels loud, unfollow a few high-volume members and it settles right down. You can always re-follow later.

That's the whole map

Now you're oriented — go dig in.

Join free, say hey at the Campfire, and open the Classroom. No stumbling required.
